David is an Exeter GP with a specialist interest in headache and has run the NHS Headache Clinic for 25 years. He is headache representative for the Royal College of General Practitioners and a former chair of the British Association for the Study of Headache. He is a member of the headache teaching faculty of the British Paediatric Neurology Association. A previous fellow of NICE, he was a member of the NICE headache guideline group and has acted as a NICE clinical adviser. He teaches in the Exeter Medical School and has published widely in the research and educational literature and is editor of the Oxford University Press Manual of Headache.
