Specialist Public Health Nurse

Jill is a Registered Nurse and a Specialist Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) in both School Nursing and Health Visiting practice. Over the last 25 years she has worked with children and families in Liverpool, Surrey, Plymouth, and Devon with a focus on preventative care, early identification and support and partnership working; to achieve better outcomes and experiences for children, young people and families. Jill works within Devon County Council as a locality manager for public health nursing (health visiting and school nursing) in South Devon (Teignbridge, South Hams and Tavistock) and is the professional lead for school nursing across Devon. Since working in Devon Jill has been increasingly involved in work to improve awareness and support of mental health and SEND needs alongside implementation of young person led strengths-based approaches and championing improved accessibility and integration of services.
